Until the formation of the BID in 2022, Sue was the Executive Director of both Newmarket Community Partners and the Newmarket Business Association. For over 30 years, Sue has been the constant voice in the City of Boston for the growth and vibrancy of industrial businesses, or as she puts it, “the backbone of the City”. A staunch advocate for job creation, she believes that these businesses create an enhanced quality of life for those in need by providing good jobs in close proximity to the neighborhoods and individuals that need those jobs.
A graduate of Holy Cross College, in her past professional life, Sue provided consulting services to private businesses and economic development assistance to cities and towns, spent 13 years as a hotel Director of Sales and 5 years as the owner and operator of Silver Service, a full-service catering business. She is past Chair of the Hingham Development Industrial Commission and is currently active on a number of Boards. Sue and her husband, Jack, live on the South Shore with one of their 3 adult sons and she is happiest playing tennis, entertaining or relaxing with friends and family.
